76, breast cancer
From the moment I had my compulsory
tattoo dots for radiotherapy, I really wanted
one to be turned into a flower. I told the
young men at Westmead what I wanted,
but they said they weren't allowed to tattoo
me. Every day they had to mark me up with
a pen, and towards the end of my treatment
I reminded them about the flower. On the
last day I went to get dressed after the
radiotherapy, and there on my bosom
was a lovely flower with petals on a stem
with leaves. It's a shame it was only drawn
on with a pen and has washed off.
