40, cervical cancer
Another Chance
Disbelief!
Fear, then determination.
There's so much I want to do,
I'm not ready to die.
Talking, sharing, crying,
Deciding. Surgery. Cure.
No chance for children.
Searching for the positives.
Finding possibilities.
Looking forward
With hope and anticipation.
Another chance - My children, my life.
Dedicated to my friend and husband,
Murray, my loving parents and my
specialist, Rob Planner, without whose
support my emotional and physical
recovery would not have been possible.
I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in
1987 at 27 years of age and treated with
surgery - a radical hysterectomy and
lymphadenectomy. Now cured, I'm the very
proud mother of two wonderful adopted
children, Robyn and Joshua.
