34, breast cancer and cervical cancer

After 14 years with Victoria Police I recently took ill health retirement. Many people have commented on how I've mellowed since that happened.Over the years, I've been told on occasions that my no-nonsense, hardened attitude has annoyed some people. I make no apologies for that, as it's the way I am. I realised a few years ago that having had two different types of cancer and being sick for a long time, if I didn't have the attitude that I have, I wouldn't be here today. I wouldn't have fought the way that I have.
